What to Expect
YOU ARE WELCOME HERE
FIRST TIME VISITING?
As our guest, we want to assure you that it is our goal for you to have a positive experience with our church family. We want you to feel free to participate at whatever level is comfortable for you. Part of reaching this goal is to give you information about our church.
As this is a diverse church family, it is a come-as-you-are atmosphere. Some people wear jeans, some are a little more formal. Our worship gathering will last about 75 minutes. Our time together will include a cappella music as we sing both old and newer songs. We usually hear scripture readings from the Bible and have prayers. We will have communion together. Communion is a time of reflecting on the life, death and resurrection of Jesus while sharing bread and grape juice together, which symbolize the body and blood of Jesus.
We also take up a collection, but as our guest, we do not expect you to share in the work of our church. We also generally have a thought-provoking, application based message from the Bible. There are some Sundays when special programs may change our schedule. The day may also include a multi-media presentation, a video clip or personal testimony. After the sermon, during our singing, we offer a time when people may want to ask for baptism, prayer or other spiritual help. During this time, you may go to the back of the auditorium and ask for assistance. One of our shepherds (our spiritual leaders) will greet you and inquire about your need.
